The
Seventh Trumpet Rapture in Scripture 1
Cor. 15: 51 – 52 Behold,
I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in
a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the
trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall
be changed. (KJV: King James Version) Listen,
I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed in a
flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the
trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be
changed. (NIV: New International Version) Behold,
I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, in a
moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the
trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be
changed. (NASB: New American Standard Bible) But
let me tell you something wonderful, a mystery I'll probably never fully understand. We're not all going to die--but we are all
going to be changed. You hear a
blast to end all blasts from a trumpet, and in the time that you look up
and blink your eyes--it's over. On
signal from that trumpet from heaven, the dead will be up and out of
their graves, beyond the reach of death, never to die again. At the same
moment and in the same way, we'll all be changed. (MSG: The Message) Take
notice! I tell you a mystery (a secret truth, an event decreed by the hidden
purpose or counsel of God). We shall
not all fall asleep [in death], but we shall all be changed
transformed). In a moment, in the
twinkling of an eye, at the [sound of the] last trumpet call. For a trumpet will sound, and the dead [in
Christ] will be raised imperishable (free and immune from decay), and we
shall be changed (transformed).
(AMP: Amplified Bible) But
let me tell you a wonderful secret God has revealed to us. Not all of us will die, but we will all be
transformed. It will happen in a
moment, in the blinking of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, the
Christians who have died will be raised with transformed bodies. And then we who are living will be
transformed so that we will never die.
(NLT: New Living Translation) For
sure, I am telling you a secret. We
will not all die, but we will all be changed. In a very short time, no longer than it takes for the eye to
close and open, the Christians who have died will be raised. It will happen when the last horn
sounds. The dead will be raised
never to die again. Then the rest of us who are alive will be changed. (NLV:
New Life Version) Behold!
I tell you a mystery. We shall not
all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an
eye, at the last trumpet. For
the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we
shall be changed. (ESV: English Standard Version) I
will explain a mystery to you. Not
every one of us will die, but we will all be changed. It will happen suddenly, quicker than the
blink of an eye. At the sound of
the last trumpet the dead will be raised. We will all be changed, so that we will never die again. (CEV:
Contemporary English Version) Behold,
I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed--
in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead
will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. (NKJV:
New King James Version) Behold,
I show you a mystery: We shall not all sleep; but we shall all be changed in
a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet shall sound, and the dead
shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. (KJ21:
21st Century King James Version) Behold,
I tell you a mystery: We all shall not sleep, but we shall all be changed, in
a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the
trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall
be changed. (ASV: American Standard Version) Listen! I tell you a secret. We will not all die, but we will all be
changed. t will happen very quickly,
as fast as one can shut his eyes. It
will be when the trumpet or horn is blown the last time. Someone will blow the trumpet, dead people
will rise, and they will never die again.
We ourselves will be changed.
(WE: Worldwide English [New
Testament]) lo,
I tell you a secret; we indeed shall not all sleep, and we all shall be
changed; in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, in the last trumpet,
for it shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we -- we
shall be changed: (YLT: Young's Literal Translation) Behold,
I tell you a mystery: We shall not all fall asleep, but we shall all be
changed, in an instant, in [the] twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet;
for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and
*we* shall be changed. (DRBY: Darby Translation) Lo!
I say to you private of holy things [Lo! I say to you mystery, or private, of
holy things]. And all we shall rise again, but not all we shall be changed;
in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, in the last trump; for the
trumpet shall sound, and dead men shall rise again, without corruption
[forsooth the trump shall sing, and dead men shall rise again, incorrupt],
and we shall be changed. (WYC: Wycliffe New Testament) Listen!
I am telling you a mystery. We will
not all die. But we will all be
changed. That will happen in a flash,
as quickly as you can wink an eye. It
will happen when the last trumpet sounds. The trumpet will sound, and
the dead will be raised to live forever. And we will be changed. (NIRV:
New International Reader's Version) Listen,
I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed--in a
flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will
be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. (NIV-UK: New
International Version – UK) http://www.biblestudytools.net/ Behold,
I show you a mystery: We shall not all sleep; but we shall all be changed in
a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet shall sound, and the dead
shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. (Third Millennium Bible) Listen
to this secret truth: we shall not all die, but when the last trumpet sounds,
we shall all be changed in an instant, as quickly as the blinking of an
eye. For when the trumpet sounds,
the dead will be raised, never to die again, and we shall all be
changed. (Good News Translation) Behold,
I tell you a mystery. We shall all
indeed rise again: but we shall not all be changed. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet:
for the trumpet shall sound and the dead shall rise again incorruptible. And we shall be changed. (Douay-Rheims Bible) Behold,
I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in
a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the
trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall
be changed. (Webster Bible) I
tell you a truth hitherto kept secret: we shall not all sleep, but we shall
all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the sounding
of the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be
raised incapable of decay, and *we* shall be changed. (Weymouth New Testament) Listen!
I am telling you a mystery: We will not all fall asleep, but we will all be
changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead
will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed. (Holman Christian Standard Bible) But
look! I tell you this secret: We will not all sleep in death, but we will all
be changed. It will take only a
second -- as quickly as an eye blinks -- when the last trumpet sounds. The trumpet will sound, and those who have
died will be raised to live forever, and we will all be changed. (New Century Version) I'm
telling you a mystery. Not all of us
will die, but we will all be changed.
It will happen in an instant, in a split second at the sound of the
last trumpet. Indeed, that
trumpet will sound, and then the dead will come back to life. They will be changed so that they can live
forever. (God's Word Translation) Behold,
I tell you a mystery. We will not all
sleep, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at
the last shofar. For the shofar
will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be
changed. (Hebrew Names Translation) Behold,
I tell you a mystery. We will not all
sleep, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at
the last trumpet. For the trumpet
will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be
changed. (World English Translation) See,
I am giving you the revelation of a secret: we will not all come to the sleep
of death, but we will all be changed.
In a second, in the shutting of an eye, at the sound of the last
horn: for at that sound the dead will come again, free forever from the
power of death, and we will be changed.
(The Bible in Basic English) ecce
mysterium vobis dico omnes quidem resurgemus sed non omnes inmutabimur in
momento in ictu oculi in novissima (the last) tuba (war-trumpet) canet
enim et mortui resurgent incorrupti et nos inmutabimur (Latin Vulgate) http://www.traditioninaction.org/religious/c003rp.htm What
are the Novissima? A first guess from the Latin novum might be that it is
something new. In fact, it is the opposite. The superlative of novum,
novissimus, means the latest, the last thing. And what are the novissima
- the last things - that every man must face, regardless of position,
wealth, or power? They are Death, Judgment, Heaven and Hell. Death: every man
will die; it is a consequence of original sin. Judgment: everyone, even the
atheist will stand before God to be judged. Heaven: eternal happiness for
those who were friends of God and died in his grace. Hell: eternal punishment
for those who were enemies of God or indifferent to him and die in the state
of sin. http://www.olivetree.com/bible/index.html en
un momento, en un abrir y cerrar de ojos, a la final (last) trompeta
(trumpet); porque se tocará la trompeta, y los muertos serán resucitados
incorruptibles, y nosotros seremos transformados. Porque es necesario que esto corruptible se vista de
incorrupción, y esto mortal se vista de inmortalidad. (Reina Valera 1960) |
